Owner Bio
Meet Zachary Griswold, Owner of Blue Collar Restoration

Zachary Griswold is the owner of Blue Collar Restoration, a homeowner-first damage restoration company serving the Colorado Springs area.
Zachary discovered the restoration industry after he and his wife, Moriah, welcomed their daughter, Ramona, and he began looking for a steadier paycheck to support their growing family. He spent several years working for large national restoration franchises, learning the technical side of mitigation and dry-outs while seeing how confusing the insurance claim process can be for homeowners.
He saw a gap in the local market for a company entirely focused on guiding homeowners through the claim process, protecting their coverage, and treating every home like it was his own. Today, Blue Collar Restoration is built around that customer-first mindset and Zachary’s belief that skilled, blue-collar work can make a real difference in the community.
He runs the company with one core goal: provide for his family while making a positive impact on the homeowners and employees whose lives intersect with his business.

Zachary’s Story
How Blue Collar Became a Colorado Springs Restoration Company
From Fountain roots and military service to a one-person startup and a growing Colorado Springs restoration team.
Growing Up Near Colorado Springs
Raised in Fountain, Colorado, Zachary graduated from Fountain-Fort Carson High School, where he first learned the value of hard work, accountability, and being part of a team.
Football, Military Service, and Coaching
After high school, Zachary moved to Iowa to play Division III football at a small private college, gaining firsthand experience in high-performance athletics and leadership. While there, he joined the Iowa Army National Guard and worked full-time as a high school strength and conditioning coach, helping young athletes build confidence and resilience in the weight room.
Starting a Career in Damage Restoration
After Zachary and his wife, Moriah, welcomed their daughter, Ramona, he entered restoration while looking for a steadier paycheck for their growing family. Several years with large national franchises taught him mitigation, dry-outs, and how difficult the insurance claim process can feel for homeowners.
Launching Blue Collar Restoration
Wanting to be closer to family, Zachary returned to Colorado and launched Blue Collar Restoration with very little financial backing but a clear vision. As the first business owner in his family, he began as a one-man operation, personally handling every call, job, and customer.
Growing the Colorado Springs Team
Within just eight months, Zachary grew the company from one employee—him—to a team of six, proving there was real demand for a restoration company built on trust, clear communication, and homeowner-first service.
Building a Homeowner-First Restoration Company
Blue Collar is focused on guiding homeowners through the claim process, protecting their coverage, and treating every home like it was Zachary’s own. The company is built around the belief that skilled blue-collar work can support families, create meaningful jobs, and make a positive difference in the Colorado Springs community.
